Tomorrow begins the Zero Project Conference 2021. It focuses on sharing successful experiences from around the world that improve the lives of people with disabilities. The Zero Project's mission is to work for a world with zero barriers.
2021 Started with Audio Description Available in More Areas of the Country
As of January 1, 10 more areas of the country are covered by the legal audio description requirements. Stations affiliated with ABC, CBS, Fox, or NBC in Knoxville, Little Rock-Pine Bluff, Dayton, Lexington, Tucson (Sierra Vista), Honolulu, Green Bay-Appleton, Des Moines-Ames, Roanoke-Lynchburg, and Spokane, must provide at least 87.5 hours of audio description per quarter in their programming.
Accessibility for Feeling Through is powered by All4Access
We are honored to be powering accessibility for the Feeling Through film with the All4Access repository and app. Feeling Through is an inspiring film about human connection, and it is the first to feature a deaf-blind actor in a lead role.

Launch of Cine con Sentido - Accessible Cinema in Spanish for Latinos in the United States
On December 3, celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we officially launched Cine con Sentido. The main objective of this initiative, conceived by Dicapta and Canal 22 Internacional, is to highlight the benefits of making, offering, and enjoying accessible audiovisual content supporting in this way the inclusion of our Latino community.
WeCamFest Inclusive Film Festival

The Federal Communications Commission Disability Advisory Committee Released an Enhanced Electronic Newsroom Technique (ENT) Coordinator Toolkit
Last month, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Disability Advisory Committee released an Enhanced Electronic Newsroom Technique (ENT) Coordinator Toolkit to give broadcasting organizations guidance on the use of ENT to provide captions. This kit was created in English as well as Spanish.
Top Nonbroadcast Networks List Update for the Purpose of Audio Description Requirements
Every three years, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) updates the list of the five subscription television networks with the highest audience that are required to include audio description in part of their programming. This update is made to account for changes in television ratings as measured by Nielsen.
