The American Council of the Blind (ACB) is set to host its highly anticipated 2023 Audio Description Awards Gala on November 14, 2023, at 7:30 PM Eastern Time. This year's gala promises to be extra special, marking the first time the event will be presented in both English and Spanish, with audio description (AD) provided in both languages.

The addition of Spanish language support is a significant step towards inclusivity, opening the doors to a wider and more diverse audience. Dicapta will be stepping in to provide Spanish Dubbing and Spanish AD for the gala, ensuring that the event is accessible and enjoyable for Spanish-speaking viewers as well. We are also excited to announce that Conchita Hernández, a member of our advisory committee and friend, will host the awards this time.

One of the gala's core objectives is to recognize companies that go above and beyond what is required by law in terms of audio description. This acknowledgment shines a light on the efforts of those organizations that demonstrate a commitment to making their content accessible to all, contributing to a more inclusive society.
