The documentary "Yo amo mi chatarrita" will release with accesibility features

Healthy eating is a problem that afflicts Mexico, a country in which obesity is one of the main scourges for public health. It is so much so that several Mexicans joke that they follow the "T diet": tacos, tortillas, and tamales.

In the documentary “Yo amo mi chatarrita” the filmmaker Jacaranda Correa seeks to account for this problem, which afflicts not only adults but also children in Mexico. According to Unicef, in 2016, Mexico ranked first in childhood obesity worldwide, with 1 in 3 children between the ages of 6 and 19 being overweight.

In this film, we will see how poor nutrition, a sedentary lifestyle, and a lack of clear information about food products can exacerbate the problem of obesity.

“Yo amo mi chatarrita” will be available from October 20 on Channel 22 with accessibility features for everyone to enjoy.
