Dicapta invites members of the Spanish-speaking community with sensory disabilities to take advantage of an exceptional cultural opportunity. It is a new accessible play in Spanish. Montclair State University will present the play “Filomena Marturano: A Caribbean Marriage” next Saturday, April 30, starting at 8pm, with a tactile pre-show at 7:15pm.

The play is an adaptation made by the Cuban playwright Leila López of the work of the Italian poet and playwright Eduardo de Filipo. On this occasion, it will have several accessibility tools, such as the aforementioned tactile show and audio description in Spanish prepared by students from Montclair State University.

Directed on this occasion by Leyma López, "Filomena Marturano" is a funny and tragic play that deals with issues such as marriage, motherhood, and family relationships.

The play will take place at the Repertorio Español theater, located at 138 East 27th Street, New York, NY 1001. Tickets will be on sale at the theater but can be reserved by phone for a special price of $15 for users of the audio description. The phone number to reserve tickets is 212.225.9999.
